Business Collaboration Raises Funds For Local Hospice

September 4, 2024

With a strong commitment to the local community and a passion for fundraising, Jack Amery of Oakworth Financial Planning, Adam Fletcher of Ridley & Hall Solicitors, Jilly Spiers and Sarah Knight of JS Recruitment, Lorna Blackett of Crest Commercial, and Adrian Greenwood of The Prince of Wales Hospice came together to launch Friday Revival.

Friday Revival is a monthly social event inclusive of all businesses in the Five Towns area, designed to foster networking and raise essential funds for charity. With a social focus, Friday Revival aims to create business opportunities as a beneficial by-product.

Thanks to the dedication of these partners and the support of local people and businesses, Friday Revival has become a resounding success, drawing over 200 attendees, filling hospitality venues during off-peak times, and raising over £4,500 for The Prince of Wales Hospice. This initiative has created valuable opportunities for businesses and community groups to collaborate and thrive.

The funds raised have been used to purchase a new marquee for Hospice events, having lost the previous one to storm damage, and a specialist bed frame which has helped to improve the quality of care and comfort given to Hospice patients with life-limiting illness.

Jack Amery, from Oakworth Financial Planning, said: “As a proud supporting partner of Friday Revival, we’re delighted to see the local business community come together for such a meaningful cause. Raising £3,000 for a new bed and £1,500 for a marquee not only supports The Prince of Wales Hospice but also highlights the power of collaboration. It’s inspiring to be part of a network that’s making a real difference in our community.”
