How long have you been with the company? 17 years.

What’s your role? I deal with all areas of financial advice, with a specialism in pensions and investments. I work a lot with clients who are approaching or entering retirement, as well as being qualified to assist clients with long term care / estate planning. The other part of my role involves the general day-to-day running of the company (down to buying the stamps and changing light bulbs!), the finances and staff.

What do you enjoy most about your role? Being an instigator of change – I like exploring new ideas and making them reality. Client relationships are also very rewarding – to help people overcome obstacles or tricky times in their lives creates very strong job satisfaction.

How do you relax? I have three children (plus a dog and a cat) so I don’t really! I spend most of my free time with my family and enjoy getting outdoors in the fresh air.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you? That you can achieve all you want to achieve and still be nice along the way.
